Category: Gout Attack

Diet changes can trigger painful gout attacks, especially in your feet.
Gout attacks are caused by uric acid crystallization and build-up in joints.

The big toe joint is the coolest part of the body, and uric acid is sensitive to temperature change, so the big toe is most often affected by this painful condition.  Avoid foods high in purines (shrimp, crab, organ meats, red meat, red wine, beer, etc.)
that contribute to uric acid build-up and gout attacks.
