Nail Technician
The Nail Technician performs professional nail, hand and foot treatments. They must
possess a thorough knowledge of the nails, including a basic knowledge of hand and
foot massage techniques and a neat application of polish. They must possess excellent
cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa's specific nail service
offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the
product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to
meet the needs of our clients. They must hold and maintain a current state license.

General Responsibilities
Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within
the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa
protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while
educating and training guests in these areas.
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's
policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the
spa that require attention.
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as
programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
• Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests
ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.


Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold and maintain a current Illinois State license


• Provides Medical Pedicures and Manicures with spa services for all our patients
including Diabetic/ High Risk patients in our two podiatry offices.
Some travel between offices required - Office locations Yorkville and Morris IL.


PT with some evening / weekend hours - rotating through our three locations.
Weekends: 1 half day a month in our Yorkville and/or Morris office 
Pedicure and Manicure Services
Educates patients by answering questions.
Completes records by data entry into our data base system for patient information,
marketing information, re-appointing, assists in management of patient foot spa
schedule, weekly submits daily paperwork for all clients to business manager.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; maintaining supplies;
performing preventive maintenance.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing
standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care
information confidential.
• Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to
professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements,
and OSHA standards.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional

• Responsible for all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of Spa rooms and general
areas shared with the practice.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of all in Medical Foot Spa
• Responsible for maintaining continuing education credits.
